Cycle club: Medway Velo Club

What was your first bike? I was very lucky that my first bike was a handbuilt green Bill Philbrook when I was 9 years old!

Current bike: Currently I have a number of bikes; road is a Condor Leggero, cross is a Storck TIX and track is a Dolan DF4, all of them are fantastic.

Dream bike: My dream bike would be a Trek Segafredo Team Emonda (my son is PR Manager for the team) this is a hint to them!

Favourite place to ride: Flanders in spite of the weather!

Why is cycling special to you? Cycling is important to me as it allows me to explore places I'd never see whilst helping to keep me fit.

Biggest cycling achievement (distance/days/event): Over the years I've won a few races, always a great feeling. (*we think Rob might be being a tad modest here!)

Do you have a yearly distance target? I don't have a cycling distance goal although I do try to ride most days!

Any cycle trips coming up? I'm training to ride the Ghent Wevelgem, GP E3 and Liège-Bastogne-Liège sportives.

What benefits do you feel from taking VitxCycle? Since starting to take VitxCycle I've been been pleased to have excellent health, avoiding both colds and injury, so this would be my health goal for the future.

How would you describe your cycling style? Definitely old school roadie!
